LWSA runs a variety of classes at the West Hill Park school and Botley Park catering for different age ranges and abilities. Classes will typically last for around a half hour. Our classes run in the following ability levels, time slots and locations.
Parent and Baby and Pre-School Children
These sessions teach key swim skills in a structured, play-based teaching environment and provide a safe and fun way to build your baby or pre-schooler's confidence in the water. Parents are taught baby submersion, breathing, movement and survival techniques.
The junior programme is designed to cater for all ages and abilities. Our approach is child centered and our aim is to instill a strong motivation and interest in learning to swim, improving technique and ultimately for our juniors to become accomplished swimmers. Groups are small and are taught from the water until pupils are competent enough to be taught from the poolside.
Past experience has shown us that adult beginners tend to prefer individual tuition. There are several adult teaching sessions in which a lesson can be booked at a time and day to suit you. You can also team up with a swimmer of a similar ability and share a lesson. Contact the swim school office to book a session.
